At the Nogales International, Angela covers issues including immigration, public health, environmental justice and the cross-border economy.

Since falling in love with journalism as an undergraduate college student, Angela has pursued a number of long-form creative projects: She’s reported on censorship of dissident artists in Havana, Cuba; produced podcast episodes about life in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands; and created a photography book about the binational Santa Cruz River, which runs in Arizona and Sonora, Mexico.

After graduating college, Angela worked as a radio reporter and host for NPR’s Morning Edition at KNAU, a Flagstaff-based member station.
